Here is a letter from the head of the family asking to send them to Argentina as soon as possible, as they only have money left for travel and cannot spend it on living. The letter is dated April 14, 1938.
The road to Argentina was not a cheap affair. As a rule, to buy a ticket for such a trip, people sold all their property, not knowing what awaits them there in Argentina.
